  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

ASD's are complex neurological disorders that have a lifelong effect on the development of various abilities and skills. ASDs are characterised by impairments in communication, social interaction and usual patterns of behaviours, interests and activities. There are also many sensory integration challenges.

Work with this group of children by the SALT can be:

  2. Early Years Therapy sessions
  3. Social Thinking Therapy - groups/individuals
  4. PECS (picture exchange communication system)
  5. Behavioural supports/accommodations
  6. School support and training
  7. Therapy in schools
  8. Family support and advice
