All our physios are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). You can check any chartered physiotherapists details at www.hpc-uk.org
At TCT, we only see children and all the physios are specialist paediatric therapists. The whole practice is child friendly and geared towards the individual requirements of the children and their families/carers.
We think that physiotherapy exercises should not be boring and a pain to do, so at TCT, we make each programme fun and as individual as the child using it because we understand that it is harder to keep to something you don't enjoy. We use specific goals to aim for so that the children can clearly see what they have achieved. We also try hard to set some exercises/stretches that can be done whist doing other things like reading, watching TV or playing on Nintendo's. etc
We try and include hobbies and interests into the exercises and make them age appropriate. We listen to both the parents/carers and the children when we assess, in order to find out what is required.
Physiotherapists see all children at TCT with lots of different requirements. For example we see children with sports injuries, back pain, knee pain, long term neurological conditions, children on the autistic spectrum and children who have Dyspraxia or are a bit behind with certain areas of their development. Your child does not have to have a specific diagnosis for us to see them.
We are very lucky to have the use of a lovely hydrotherapy pool so sometimes we might treat in the water or even use a combination of dry land and water based exercises.
We have a smashing range of facilities and equipment which we love to use. We know that fitting appointments into busy lives can be tricky so we offer a seven day a week service which continues through the school holidays.
We are very happy to reply to e-mails or chat on the phone if advice is required or there are questions you have about your child's development or function.
