Total Children's Therapy provide a number of flexible options to meet the training needs of your staff.
All training is delivered by state registered, chartered paediatric physiotherapists and occupational therapists who are experienced in working with children with special needs.
- We aim to increase awareness and understanding about physical needs and conditions with which staff may have limited experience or might have not encountered prior to inclusion changes.
- Topics such as working with children with developmental delay, neurological conditions, sensory or motor difficulties, and the resultant behavioural and social difficulties can be covered.
- We are able to offer a comprehensive series of lectures on specific topics, half or full day training packages to tailored to meet the needs of the group (e.g. teachers, TAs, or SENCOs, pre-school workers) and the children they work with. We also offer a twilight lectures from after school to early evening if required.
- Staff will come away with realistic, practical ideas to use in the educational setting the next day. We hope they will feel inspired to use them with children they are working with and understand how to support all members of the class in the curriculum, irrespective of their abilities.
We also offer schools a variety of support and in service training which can be tailored to suit a schools needs and budget.
